Happy New Year! 2010!

It's already 2010. Where does the time go? I watched the new year come in on Fox News. Times Square was packed. I saw the live countdown at 10:00 pm my time. One thing the commentator kept mentioning was that it is now twenty ten, not two thousand and ten. I always wondered why we have been saying two thousand three, two thousand four, etc. instead of twenty o three and twenty o four. We have always said nineteen o three and nineteen o four when referring to the last century. I hope twenty ten catches on. It sounds so much better than two thousand ten and much easier to say!
